Cookie Policy
This policy explains the browser storage used by ilovemd, why the site does not set optional Analytics cookies, where Google Analytics stays off, and how you can stop cookieless measurement when it is available.

ilovemd may use local browser storage for a language preference, a cookieless Analytics opt-out, and a Markdown draft only when you enable local draft saving. Local storage is not sent automatically with every web request in the way a cookie is. The opt-out exists only to remember that future Analytics measurement should stay disabled.
Strictly necessary technology
Hosting and security providers may use short-lived, strictly necessary technology to deliver the site, balance traffic, prevent abuse, or remember a security decision. Blocking this technology may stop parts of the site from working.
Remote images and third-party pages
If Markdown or HTML includes a remote image, your browser contacts that image host. Links you open may also take you to third-party sites. Their cookies and privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Google Analytics without Analytics cookies
In the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, ilovemd does not load the Google tag or send Google Analytics measurements. Measurement also stays off when the visitor's country cannot be resolved. In other recognized regions, Google Analytics 4 may send limited cookieless measurements on the canonical production domain while Analytics and advertising storage remain permanently denied. ilovemd does not provide a grant path and does not allow Google Analytics to read or write _ga or _ga_* cookies. The site also removes accessible Analytics cookies left by its retired consent flow. Measurement requests can include the page path, time, referrer, browser or device information, consent state, and ordinary network data such as an IP address. They do not include document text, file names, or converted content.
Your controls
Where cookieless measurement is available, use “Disable cookieless analytics” in the footer to stop future Google Analytics measurements in this browser. You can turn measurement back on later without enabling Analytics cookies. The control is not shown where Google Analytics is regionally disabled. Browser privacy tools or content blockers may also block the Google tag. Clearing all ilovemd site data removes the saved opt-out as well as any local preferences or drafts.
